Job Description:Airbus UpNext Spain has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to demonstrate the potential of a sustainable power generation source used onboard the aircraft.
This demonstrator will have a crucial role in determining the potential of hydrogen as an energy source in aviation.
The Solution Aircraft Designer Leader (M/F) position is within the Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain.It consists of a fixed-term contract on an estimated three-year long project.Missions:Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:Leading the definition of the aircraft platform requirements.In charge of the assessment and the design needed to adapt a current aircraft platform to a novel technology for the non-propulsive power generation.Defining, managing and coordinating the technical activities required to fulfil the platform assessment and the integration at system level.Contributing to the definition of the system validation and test plan.Defining the industrialization/manufacturing plan to execute the platform modification plan.The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, so being flexible is important.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks, including Export Control, and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.Required skills:At least 5 years' experience in aircraft structural design and verification.Hands-on experience in CAD, BoM and FEM.Previous exposure to plan and execute manufacturing modification.Experience in managing technical resources.Able to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working.Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability.Enjoying working in an international, diverse and geographically located team.Sharing the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy.Eager to step out of the comfort zone.English is mandatory.Willing to have fun.You will work very closely cross-functionally with the Airbus Teams, as well as external stakeholders.
You have great collaborative skills, with a good understanding of interface management and practical problem solving.
