Airbus UpNext - Project Management Officer for the Next Gen NPE demonstrator (m/f)
Job Description: Airbus UpNext Spain has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to contribute to the evaluation of an innovative more electric architecture for aircraft non propulsive energy (NPE).
The Project Management Officer position is within the Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain. It consists of a limited contract of three years.
Missions: As a Project Manager Officer, you will be passionate and impatient about putting methods and processes in place to ease teamwork and you are the type of person who thinks about "how things can be done" rather than "if they can be done".
You will develop a project follow-up which is flexible and unencumbered by process and deal with a diverse team of performers, consisting of partners from industry and academia, start-ups and established leaders, existing Airbus talent and new recruits.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Being the project focal point for procurement and contract management.Creating and maintaining project schedules for several work-packages.Leading Agile Project management activities.Coordinating several technical and non-technical teams to achieve the committed project milestones.Implementing a robust risk management process to ensure all key risks are captured and mitigated.Tracking programme progress and providing reports and visibility of potential issues to allow for early mitigation and data-driven decisions.Working closely with the other Project Management Officer in the team to ensure all Project Management activities are successfully performed.Your Boarding Pass: What you bring: Previous experience in Project Management of complex projects within the aerospace industry or other similar industries.Previous experience in Procurement and contract negotiation & management.Educated to degree level in any Engineering discipline.First class influencing and presentation skills are required as this is a high visibility role.Experience working in an Agile development environment.Practical problem-solving skills as well as autonomy and initiative will be expected.Negotiation level in English is required.Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability.Team-Player mindset.Values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy.Willingness to have fun.What you get: An environment that not only fosters your development in many ways but also rewards it with plenty of room to grow.A shared open space office with highly skilled multicultural teams.Ability to craft your calendar with flexible hours/Opportunity to work remotely.UpNext communities bonding events.A high-achieving, experienced and fun team.About us: Founded in 2017, Airbus UpNext is actively shaping the future of aerospace by using demonstrators to evaluate, mature and validate new products and services.
