Account Manager - EMEA Auto Parts Remote work
This position is a key contributor to the EMEA Auto Parts (APA) growth strategy. This position is accountable for providing ongoing support to high value clients. Implement business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities with major accounts. This role will interact with peers, sales, and key account managers. This position will reside in the commercial organization and reports to the Auto Parts Iberia Market Manager. Requires travel 70% to 80% of the time across our Iberia clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis individual will be a team player and be responsible to ensure achievement and execution of business targets in terms of volume, value, and profitability for the assigned direct customers.Develop long term relationships with major accounts.Develop and communicate strategic sales plans to grow market share and sales.Rational customer approach through frequent visits, quick response to queries, up-to-date marketing data and information.Monitor competitor activity.Actively focus on introduction and launching of new products to the market.Liaise with customer service on order and pricing issues and with logistic teams on product forecasting to ensure a high service level to the customers.Manage the selling prices according to regional pricing strategies.Manage working capital for the territory through active management of account receivables.Keep expenses on line with annual estimates.CollaborationActive member of APA EMEA team following the KAM strategies.Collaborate with regional commercial and technical teams for information and activities at the subcontractor network, providing information on the subcontractors as well as feeding back and influencing the OEMs/Tiers in their decisions.QualificationsIndustry and product knowledge: 3-5 years' experience in coatings market combined with Automotive OEM and Tier supplier understanding of the specification process.Customer solution and experience development: ability to synthesize relevant data/customer insights.Building customer relationships and partnerships.Demonstrated ability to get results.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact successfully with regional and global teams in a matrix environment.Fluent English speaker and writer.Relevant success factors / traitsTeam player, self-starter and motivator, persistent and proactive, able to mobilize functional support, cultural awareness for regional and global level coordination at customers and within PPG.
