The role is also in charge of developing and maintaining key MICE, Wholesale, High-end leisure, Special corporate (Groups & Transient), and Entertainment accounts through attendance at travel and related industry meetings, trade shows, personal sales calls, and sales blitz actions.
The person is highly motivated, organized, and enjoys interacting with guests.
This position requires a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative.
Responsibilities Monitoring and follow-up of sales strategies within the mentioned different segments, focusing on MICE and Transient Leisure and Special Corporate.
Assisting the Director of Sales in the preparation of sales strategies, budget, and business plan.
Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line with the Empresa de Hospedaje's budgetary goals.
Ensuring the maintenance and development of contracted accounts in all mentioned segments.
Maintaining relationships with key accounts and sourcing new business opportunities.
Soliciting group & corporate business through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, and site inspections.
Conducting site inspections and organizing familiarization trips.
Participating in daily departmental meetings, trainings, and other sales-related meetings as required.
Working with other departments within the "Empresa de Hospedaje" and key contacts at Marriott International Global Sales Office locations to provide quality service to customers.
Developing and maintaining knowledge of market trends, competition set, and customers.
Supervising and educating trainees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Under the guidance of the Director of Sales, responsible for maximizing Rooms / F&B / Conference and Banqueting business from the Spain, Latin America & Benelux Markets.
Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line with the Empresa de Hospedaje's budgetary goals.
Looking after Corporate and MICE market segments, including Yieldable contracting for all markets, as well as looking after the Entertainment business.
Building long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
Attending activities including sales calls, events, and trade shows.
Responsible for the contracting of business in these markets and achieving the expectations set in the corresponding segments.
Responsible for MarRFP program and all contracting processes.
Maintaining Company Brand Standards within the Empresa de Hospedaje.
Hitting all personal & sales team goals and maximizing profitability of the segment.
Assisting the DOSM in the creation and implementation of sales plans and strategies that ensure positive results.
Producing monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current and potential market and sales trends.
Coordinating activities to increase revenue and market share and monitoring performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plans.
Creating and developing special events and sales blitzes to showcase the "Empresa de Hospedaje" to potential clients.
Attending local, national & international trade shows and major market events to promote new business and increase sales opportunities for the Empresa de Hospedaje.
Understanding local, national, and international corporate market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, business trends, supply and demand - and knowing how to sell against them.
Identifying improvements to the overall "Empresa de Hospedaje" sales performance by working closely with the sales team and with other departments.
Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, sending out RFP responses, handling segment databases).
Executing the brand's customer service standards throughout the sales process.
