Job Description - Day-to-day Transport coordination between Distribution Centers activities (Inbound & Outbound), contracted Carriers and local Sales Organization.
- Support the business through smooth running delivery operations by keeping in mind at each step the customer focus.
- Ensure truck bookings, arrival, and departure timing, increase/decrease of ordered trucks.
- Responsible for all operational processes and the implementation throughout DC and Transport Operations.
- Monitor filling grade, loading, and unloading efficiency and returns handling.
- Managing transport tender process.
- Follow up, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPI).
When deviations or operational issues arise, monitor and take actions.
- Ensure qualitative communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure transport legislation is always respected and monitor market in search of new transport/delivery options.
- Implement, improve, and follow up best practices and regional transport standards, delivery procedures and routines.
- Seek constant improvements and ensure Sustainability transport targets based on Regional Sustainability strategy and goals.
- Performing Split Points Audits.
Qualifications - Expertise in operational transport processes and planning (min.
3 years) and knowledge of European transport legislation.
- Knowledge of retail business is a strong asset.
- Business-mindedness and ability to work in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking & planning with a strong motivation to constantly improve and achieve the logistics goals.
- Pronounced transport focus and commercial sense to best serve requirements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to collaborate, share best practices and co-create with others.
- Agile mindset with a positive attitude to change and meaningful growth.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt according to unexpected events.
- Inclusive and empathetic towards others whilst encouraging diversity.
- Ability to understand your impact on others and contribution to the bigger picture.
- Team management skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
Additional Information This is a full-time position based on the Distribution Center (DC) Torrejón de Ardoz within Logistics Europe, Cluster South and reporting directly to the Outbound Operations Manager.
