.Job Description:Wood is currently recruiting for an Intern for Home Office Construction department in our Madrid office.Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career.Students will get the opportunity to work in the, H2, Bio-fuels and O&G; projects as we look to develop your background in conceptual engineering studies, Basic engineering pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and PMC projects.The role is offered to fit in with study timetables and course obligations.Responsibilities:Provide construction input to the project throughout the engineering phaseAssist with aspects of the project construction strategy, execution planning and contracting strategyProvide input to the assessment and selection of construction contractorsPrepare documents for approval to communicate installation sequencingPrepare project specific site procedures and work practices as necessary to meet Client requirementsProvide Construction Engineering in accordance with project requirements and Home Office proceduresLiaise with designers, engineers and Home Office Construction Manager/Coordinator throughout the engineering phase to maximize the use of construction knowledge and experience in all aspects of the project paying particular attention to constructabilityAssist with construction feasibility and method studiesPrepare and review for approval plans, drawings, specifications, requisitions and bid summaries for all temporary construction facilities required within the Project scopeAssist the Home Office Construction Manager in the development of the project logistic strategyReview the project requirements, the constructability and assist with the construction execution planProvide Home Office clarification on issues raised at site by communication with other involved Home-Office departments as necessaryMaintain the necessary records to ensure quality assurance requirements are metLiaise with field staff on construction engineering mattersQualifications:Last academic year or master's degree in Industrial Engineering/Civil Engineering or similar DegreeAcademic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training centerProficient in MS Office suite software and in AutoCADSpanish language at native levelExcellent knowledge of English languageAvailability in the morning (daily dedication may vary depending on the academic situation)Able to manage own time and ability to prioritise at busy timesCreative and practicalAdaptable and perseveringInterested in pursuing a career in Engineering within the Oil and Gas IndustryAbility to work in multi-disciplinary team environmentsGood communication skillsAvailable immediatelyAbout Us:Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets
