Your Role and Responsibilities:The Head of IS Strategy Governance and Excellence partners closely with the Group CIO to steer the IS organization toward a more business-oriented approach. This role ensures that the IS organization aligns with strategic goals ('doing the right things') through effective strategy and governance while also driving operational efficiency and excellence ('doing things right') through robust organizational and operational model development.
The position is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving the key corporate capabilities, including IS Strategy, Operating Model, Governance, Transformations, Sustainability, Strategic Partnerships, and Internal Audit. Additionally, the role oversees the enhancement and maintenance of performance excellence across various areas, including Project and Service Portfolio Management, Internal Consulting, People and Performance Management, Communications, Organizational Change Management, Vendor Management, and Software Asset Management.
Responsibilities:Ensuring strategic direction for the IS organization and that all internal and external transformation programs fit into the overall IS Group strategy and direction.Partners with the Group CIO in providing technology vision and direction for the ABB group.Works closely with the Group CIO and Business Area CIOs, providing broad insight into IS performance in support of enterprise-wide business decisions.Stays current with developments in new market trends and innovations in technology and the leadership of enterprise IS.Oversees the development and maintenance of IS policies, procedures, methodologies, and governance, as well as performance management frameworks and metrics, to ensure the IS organization delivers value to the enterprise.Enables the IS organization to become an effective and efficient execution arm, enabling external benchmarking and driving simplification and standardization of processes and standards across IS.Creating a strong communication strategy and delivery, ensuring understanding, alignment, and clarification in the context of impacted people.Qualifications for the Role:Broad knowledge and understanding of the industry, business processes, IS strategic planning, IS governance formulation, and organizational change management.Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment that requires the ability to manage and adapt to a wide range of activities.Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role, in a global and complex environment.
