The Role Partnerships Sales Development at Hiscox combines client facing relationship / business development with organizational skills.
You will probably spend around 60% of your time out of the office working to capture New Partners.
Our team style is to work with Partners and get to know their needs, and the needs of their clients, and provide excellent customer service to meet those needs.
You will focus on the creation of new agreements either with: Insurers, Insurtech, Banks, technology Companies, Other dealers, associations, etc.

Key Responsibilities Create and develop a network of new partners. Identify points of contact with them and use contacts to establish new agreements.
Benchmark the market. Maintain and boost the current network of partners in Hiscox.
Create and follow up of partners plan, deviation and corrective measures (including marketing/sales campaigns). Effectively negotiate with both internal and external parties. Maintain initial conversations with partners regarding legal, operational, technical aspects of the agreement and provide innovative solutions. Lead trainings and presentations of Hiscox and products to the current and potential partners. Identify non-performing accounts in terms of key performance indicators and flag to ensure appropriate action is taken. Regularly report on the progress of agreements and pipeline. Regular communication with the team to ensure we are working as one team. Go the extra mile when dealing with challenging situations, raising the overall standards of the operation. Have an eye for detail and be highly focused on producing high quality work that is 'right first time'. Person Specification You will have at least 10 years experience in Financial Lines Industry / Insurance in a related position. Degree in Law, Economy, Actuarial Sciences or a related field. Experience in banking or in other sectors with significant commercial pressure may also be interesting. Strong market and competitor knowledge.
Deep experience, understanding and knowledge of insurer products. Able to conclude positive business deals. Extraordinary communication skills - able to positively affect other people and to win business. Strong presentation skills to pitch for business effectively and to influence decisions. Able to make sound decisions even when facts are ambiguous and conflicting. Demonstrable drive and energy to move yourself and the business forward. Team player with a good work rate. Ability to negotiate with and influence decision makers both internal and external. Ability to explore new business opportunities: Insurer Market, Insurtech and other ecosystems. Ability to work quickly and accurately and to consistently show the Hiscox 'going the extra mile' dedication and commitment in a fast growing and demanding area of the business. Outgoing and confident. You will need to read and write Spanish and English to a high standard. Experience of working in a busy, deadline and team-oriented environment. Proficient in understanding and interpreting management information and translating this into actions. High standard of personal organization with some project management skills.
