We are looking for a Building Information Modelling Manager in our office in Spain. The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of BIM processes and technologies within Group IPS. This role facilitates collaboration among different departments involved in the design, construction, and operation of industrial projects.
What is the role about? As a BIM Manager, you will assume a dual role within the organization, serving as the BIM coordinator on projects while also being responsible for owning the standard operating procedure (SOP) of BIM.
As BIM Coordinator on Projects: Take the role of Project Manager (Small Projects) or Procurement Manager (Medium-Large Projects).
Develop procurement strategies aligned with the project's goals and objectives.
Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and select suitable vendors for the project.
Maintain an IPS supplier's curated database and a contract database suitable for IPS.
Be familiar with state-of-the-art practices regarding procurement/contracting strategies.
Design and implement procurement processes, including the issuance of Requests for Interests (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Questions and Answers (Q&A), and Bid comparisons.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
Oversee and track the procurement processes, harmonizing scopes and systematically reporting progress and risks to project management.
Have a comprehensive grasp of construction contracts to lead commercial negotiations, including essential components such as scope of work, deliverables, payment terms, warranties, liability clauses, change order procedures, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
As Owner of the BIM SOP: Have in-depth knowledge and expertise in BIM.
Advise project managers, team members, clients, or other individuals.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and advancements.
Develop content such as training materials, manuals, technical documentation, whitepapers, or educational resources.
Stay abreast of changes and advancements for continuous learning and improvement.
