Position: Regional Supplier Development Manager Coatings EMEA
We are looking for a Regional Supplier Development Manager to join our company. The preferred location for the role is Barcelona, but we are open to other AkzoNobel sites such as Sassenheim/Amsterdam (NL), Como (Italy), Hilden (Germany) or Felling (UK).
Objectives of the role:
Define and deploy a clear Supplier Development Culture against the correct performance criteria (QDS principles). Coordinate sustainability initiatives in the region to achieve the AkzoNobel ambitions. Lead the supplier audit process.
About the role:
Define and deploy a clear Supplier Development Culture aligned with basic QDS principles (Quality, Deliveries and Sustainability).
Quality: In collaboration with regional & global quality teams, monitor major quality claims and support key supplier manager to materialize the claim amount from non-quality. In case of repetitive quality issues with the same supplier, set up clear improvement actions including potential Quality Supplier Audits.
Deliveries: Track V-OTIF and define clear improvement actions to be discussed and implemented in collaboration with suppliers and ISC. Work with Regional Procurement, ISC and Key Supplier Managers to improve service level as Continuous improvement mindset.
Sustainability: Onboard Procurement community in the region (both procurement and category managers) to understand company sustainability ambitions to integrate them into daily procurement activities: trainings, milestones, information sharing, events. Work with the communication team and other functions (R&D, Sales, Product Management, etc) to lead the supplier sustainability campaigns/events to build up more awareness. Ensure the implementation of the Sustainability targets for the region. Implement cross-BU high standard procurement processes across the region aligned with customer expectations & requirements considering we supply automotive and aerospace customers (VDA 6.3 standards, IATF, AS9100, etc).
About you:
University or Master's degree. 10 years of Global Procurement and Integrated Supply Chain experience in a global landscape, preferred through managing supplier improvement programs. Knowledge on high-quality standards: VDA 6.3, IATF, AS9100, etc. Change management skills. Excellent communicator, with external business partners and with main internal stakeholders. Stress resistance, flexible, problem-solving attitude. Has an eye for improvement opportunities and solid though quick decision. Basic knowledge of Sustainability and quality improvement programs and willing to learn towards an expert level. Ability to form strong teamwork-based relationships within the organization and with internal customers and external partners & clients. Fluent in English and willing to travel.
