The ideal candidate should have experience in Puerto Rico tax law, including Act 60.The successful candidate will provide tax planning, preparation, and compliance services.Responsibilities:Prepare and review individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1065 and other relevant forms for clients in the United States and Puerto Rico.Ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulations of both countries.Keep up to date on the latest modifications and changes in tax regulations.Provide expert tax planning advice to individual clients and businesses, helping them develop tax strategies that minimize their tax burden and optimize their financial situation.Analyze the specific needs and objectives of each client to offer customized and effective tax solutions.Conduct comprehensive research on current Puerto Rico tax laws, regulations, and procedures, including Act 60.Continually monitor changes in tax regulations and keep clients informed of relevant updates.Identify potential opportunities for clients to reduce their tax liability and take advantage of available benefits.Work closely with clients and other team members to analyze complex tax situations, identify issues, and develop comprehensive solutions.Foster open and transparent communication with clients, providing clear and accurate explanations of their tax obligations and strategies implemented.Maintain strong professional relationships with clients based on trust, respect, and service excellence.Provide expert advice on the tax incentives available in Puerto Rico, including Act 60, to individual clients and companies seeking to establish or expand their operations on the island.Guide clients through the process of applying for and complying with tax incentives, ensuring that they take full advantage of the benefits available.Keep updated on tax incentive modifications and requirements to provide accurate and timely information to clients.Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethics in all activities related to tax return preparation, tax advice, and compliance.Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding client expectations in terms of quality, efficiency, and communication.Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning and professional development, constantly updating their knowledge and skills in the tax field.Requirements:Bachelor of Accounting or related area.Certified Public Accountant (CPA).Experience of 5 years or more in accounting and tax laws in Puerto Rico.Experience of 10 years or more in tax preparation.Solid knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures in Puerto Rico.Ability to analyze, communicate, and solve problems effectively.Ability to perform efficiently in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.Mastery of CCH Axcess tax preparation software.Experience with Puerto Rico's tax incentives, particularly Law 60.Master in Taxation or related field (Preferable).Experience in international taxation and cross-border transactions.Bilingual (English and Spanish).Benefits:401(k).Dental insurance.Health insurance.Paid time off.Vision insurance.
