CHS is a company that appreciates that legal complexity and risk require skilled legal counsel.He or she must also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and able to perform most work, and especially low and medium complexity work, autonomously and independently.He or she must be able to manage multiple, changing priorities efficiently, using discretion and judgment, as well as support the junior member of the EMEA Legal team in the development of their tasks.He or she will be part of a larger Legal, Governance, Compliance & Audit organization that promotes and supports business being done within a culture of ethics and compliance.ResponsibilitiesAutonomously complete and lead routine legal work, including but not limited to contract review, commercial and corporate law consults, as well as the negotiation and assistance in matters related to EMEA strategies, transactions, and operations.Independently advise the business on the legal and other risks arising out of policy decisions and current organization practices.Under the supervision of the Legal Director, EMEA, lead and support high complexity legal work. Support the execution of EMEA strategies, with a keen understanding of the business' priorities.Be responsible for the corporate housekeeping of all legal entities handled in EMEA.Support and coordinate the execution of any corporate restructuring in EMEA.Review corporate documents and liaise with outside counsel on corporate matters.Autonomously supervise and support the EMEA Legal Department as to the formalization, review, signature and recordkeeping of corporate documents, powers of attorney and contracts
