Remoto: TeletrabajoAbout the roleIn this role you will:Work with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, researchers, content strategists, fellow designers) to drive design vision and strategy that meets the needs of our users.Help other disciplines understand the value design can bring to a project and ultimately build and ship the best products.Improve the merchant experience by working on projects from start to finish, participating in various UX initiatives including design sprints to define and explore merchant problems, content mapping, sketching, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, and leading stakeholder reviews.Be an active mentor and coach for the product design craft at Shopify, helping to lead critiques, design reviews, and quarterly planning.Partner with our Polaris design system in an effort to innovate a coherent look and feel across the entire Shopify platform.QualificationsExpert knowledge of the end to end iterative product design process, including developing and using personas, job stories, journey mapping, content modelling, wireframing and prototyping, user testing, and high fidelity visuals.A deep empathy for the user.Excellent communication and storytelling skills; you have the ability tohelp your stakeholders understand the why behind your design rationale.This posting will close on November 2nd 2021 at 5 PM EST.How we hireAt Shopify, we put a lot of care and time into who we hire.
