WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our engineering efforts across product areas and reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Tech leadership and decision making about architecture and other technical aspects of the product.Actively contribute to resolving challenges by participating in code reviews, system design discussions, and occasionally engaging in hands-on coding to support and coach team members.Lead by example. Coach and mentor others.Inspire, develop, recruit, and motivate a software engineering team. Conduct regular 1:1s with team members, set individual development or improvement plans, and foster a healthy feedback culture within the team.Evaluate performance and help improve it if necessary.Collaborate with Area Product Owner and other key stakeholders.Long-term resource planning and hiring in collaboration with the Head of Engineering.Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to have a common technical strategy across the product.Collaborate with People and Talent Partner to recruit, onboard, and develop talent.Collaborate with Agile team on processes and org structure.Navigate change and collaboratively discover innovative solutions with your team and various stakeholders within a dynamic and evolving environment.Oversee the team's strategy, quarterly goals, business-technical metrics, and organizational structure.Evaluate Area and Teams performance and unblock obstacles.Example of your Goal: Scale the Instagram Channel area from one to three teams. Provide and execute a step-by-step plan on how we will grow to three teams (hiring plan, team split strategy, roles distribution) in communication with the stakeholders (Head of Engineering, Product Owner, etc.)
