About BSC: The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe). Context And Mission: The Social Link Analytics unit has been dedicated to analyzing data related to biology and medicine, aiming to evaluate their impact on scientific advancement. The main areas of activity of the unit have included leading the Bioinfo4Women cross-cutting program within the life sciences department to foster the career advancement of female researchers. The funding for these actions/fellowships and contracts comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation.

Key Duties: Lead project development efforts related to disinformation, focusing on health and climate change narratives and dissemination. Develop and conduct technical research on innovative tools to evaluate the influence and repercussions of disinformation disseminated through social media platforms. Support the Life Sciences department projects and proposals with the interdisciplinary development of social and technical understanding of the spread of disinformation on social networks. Manage part of the group's relationships with other institutions of interest (both public and private). Manage students in an efficient work environment. Write, participate, and present national funding proposals and European funding Horizon calls. Requirements: Education: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Analysis, Social Sciences or related discipline with a focus on quantitative analysis.

Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Knowledge and experience in research related to disinformation and health. Strong experience in the creation of surveys covering themes such as social psychology and sociology. Experience in quantitative analysis of survey results. Knowledge on network analysis. Strong knowledge in Python data science tools.
