HPAI conducts fundamental and responsible research in AI, ensuring that our work is always ethical and trustworthy. Our research group has been consistently developing contributions in the field of multi-agent systems from several perspectives, including efficient methods for combining symbolic and sub-symbolic forms of reasoning; scalable architectures for parallel distributed execution of large volumes of agents; mechanisms and languages for encoding, interpreting and analysing the effects of social values and norms; and explainability methods in cooperative and competitive settings.The main objective of this vacancy is to lead or contribute research efforts in the direction of these research lines, collaborating in a team of researchers, occasionally in tasks of leadership responsibility. The funding for these actions/fellowships and contracts comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation, within the framework of the General Invitation by the public business entity Red.Es to participate in the talent attraction and retention programs within Investment 4 of Component 19 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
