As RSB's Sustainability Manager, you report to the RSB Projects Director to prepare and implement Sustainability Advisory Services Projects on a variety of topics linked to supporting organisations globally to achieve ambitious decarbonisation and sustainability goals. As a member of the Projects team, you will support development and implementation of projects which typically include the following components:
Preparation for RSB certification and related training;Development of sustainability protocols;Certification gap analysis and benchmarking;Supply chain mapping;Sustainable biomass policy review and analysis;Sustainable feedstock assessments;GHG LCA calculation, with support from RSB's LCA experts.Within these projects, you will have a strong focus on Capacity Building and Training as part of Advisory Services that focus on Certification Preparation projects, including:
Development of content for tailored training material for clients;Development of replicable tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enable and facilitate standard training and certification;Coordination with RSB experts internally and consultants globally to generate knowledge and turn it into services and products;Support the development of client-oriented messaging for the services and products offered.You will act as a project manager for clients in biofuels and energy, aviation, shipping, and consumer goods, and prepare Advisory Services proposals to support client needs aligned with RSB's mission and framework. You will share learnings and feedback from project delivery with your team to strengthen service offerings, and with RSB's broader team to support continuous improvement. You will liaise internally to ensure project administrative activities and requirements are met.
Requirements RSB seeks an individual based in Spain, Germany, or the UK, equipped with relevant experience and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Required - Education, Experience, And Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant field, e.g. sustainability, environmental management, etc.7+ years of professional experience with a minimum of 5+ years of that working in the field of sustainability in a relevant sector (e.g. agriculture, materials, fuels, etc.).Expertise in sustainability challenges in biomass production and certification (agriculture, forestry, wastes), including industrial processing.Track record of delivery in project management and implementation of consultancy projects.You pay great attention to detail and bring strong planning and forward-thinking capabilities.You have strong organisational skills, time management skills, and the ability to explain complex sustainability topics to a broad and varied audience.You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong report writing skills.You excel with Office 365 (Excel, Power Point, etc.), and are familiar with digital tools such as Salesforce, Asana, etc.
