For our Vacarisses Plant, in Barcelona, we are looking for a: Buyer What you will do Purchase goods, materials or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods. Identify, assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts. Explore alternate sources for goods and materials. Manage the process from Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order. Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues. Manage the procurement process of multiple projects through tender process to construction and successful completion. Analysis of quotations, lead negotiations with prospective Sub-Contractors, managing pre & post tender. Monitoring and reporting of procurement results against budget. Managing pre-order meetings. Assembling and issuing subcontract documentation. What we are looking for Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Economics or similar Bachelor and/or Master. Minimum of 3 years experience of working in a similar position. An understanding of construction, engineering processes, procurement procedures is a pre-requisite of the role, and a good understanding of standard construction forms of contract will be a distinct advantage. Fluent in English. SKILLS: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure.
