What You will do : As the Senior Data Scientist in the team, you will support the development of algorithms that help our customers by: Optimizing the way their assets operate Innovating and disrupting the industry with best-in-class solutions and breakthrough market opportunities Providing analytics and tools for the suite of GPM solutions Leveraging the potential of data analytics combined with the technical knowledge available in the wider cohort of DNV Energy Systems colleagues in renewable energy technology You will solve a variety of problems using techniques such as time series forecasting, anomaly detection, signal processing, classification, probabilistic modelling, natural language processing, and more.
You'll team up with junior data scientists and domain experts in various renewables technologies to solve innovative problems.
You'll team up to create software prototypes and minimum viable products in close collaboration with customers and stakeholders, iterating solutions until you get buy-in from the end users.
You'll own or support innovation ideas from ideation to production handover - collaborating and connecting with others throughout the journey.
How You will succeed : Leverage your creative problem-solving skills to deliver innovative product solutions using classical statistics, mathematical modelling, and the full spectrum of machine learning techniques.
Develop production-grade data science solutions.
Own the overall team's machine learning practice.
Embrace collaboration and brainstorm with other team members on how to continuously drive the product forward using data science.
Drive specific algorithms' life-cycle from conception to prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement.
Serve as a mentor and resource to other junior data scientists and domain experts on the team.
Support domain experts to deliver joint projects by advising, coding, and testing (depending on specific needs) data science driven algorithms.

4+ years of work experience using core statistical methods such as checking distributions, correlation/association analysis, multivariate analysis, hypothesis testing, dimensionality reduction.
