Reporting to the Energy Markets Manager and based in Madrid, we are looking for a Sr Energy Markets Specialist.The selected professional will leverage market expertise and data analysis to drive strategic decisions and ensure market stability across X-ELIO's European operations, with emphasis on solar energy investments.What will you do?Market Expertise for Strategic Alignment: Drawing on a solid understanding of energy market fundamentals, including commodity price evolution and renewable energy penetration, to support various lines of business at X-ELIO, from M&A to board-level decisions.Advanced Data Analytics for Insightful Strategies: Conducting high-quality quantitative analysis using advanced Python or R software to identify market patterns and trends, translating findings into strategic positioning for the company.Proactive Regulatory Monitoring for Informed Decisions: Monitoring key market regulatory bodies and energy policy developments to identify potential impacts on market infrastructure, providing continuous updates to senior management and board members.Comprehensive Market Intelligence for Informed Decisions: Developing and maintaining market data, analysis, and presentations to convey key findings to stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.Ensuring Market Stability and Reliability: Providing reliability and stability in market price levels across different European markets, with a focus on optimizing investment projects in storage and solar energy.What do we need?At least 5 years of experience in energy market analysis (mainly European ones), including a deep understanding of market fundamentals, data analysis skills, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.Experience managing data in programming languages such as Python or R.Advanced level of English and Spanish.Excellent communication skills to convey findings effectively to stakeholders.What do we offer?Career development in a leading international environment.Yearly bonus based on objectives.Flex-Friday (1 Friday free per month).Ticket Restaurant.Health Insurance.Additional benefits (Healthy X-Elio, Workshops, Green Mobility programs, etc).
