.As Project Director, you will effectively support the day-to-day activities of the European/LATAM Onshore Wind Due Diligence Team, guiding decisions on projects, project management, and opportunities within a highly matrixed organization.
This role is responsible for building relationships with customers and supporting the commercial team by ensuring workload balance and providing the technical support needed to satisfy customers.
- You will work with our customers and be the main client interface for UL (this also includes meetings with lenders and developers).
- To ensure a timely delivery of our projects, you will manage internal as well as external resources.
- You will manage independent engineering (IE) and technical advisory (TA) services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of onshore wind plants and portfolios.
- You will be in charge of high-profile IE and TA projects (this includes overseeing turbine technology review, civil and electrical design review, review of commercial and technical contracts, project schedule, project financial model, CAPEX and OPEX costs, environmental and permitting review, site visits, and construction monitoring).
- You will compile and complete IE and TA reports as well as prepare various communication reports and project status reports.
Minimum Requirements: Academic background in Engineering.
At least 8+ years' experience working as a project manager/engineer in wind due diligence, project development, construction, equipment supply, operations, or mergers and acquisitions.
Clear and deep understanding of the typical steps of a due diligence process.
Business fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are considered an advantage.
Experienced in construction monitoring.
Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and level-headed when meeting tight deadlines.
You may be available to travel up to 20% of the time within Europe to meet our clients and attend conferences within the region.
