Job Description : Locus Robotics is seeking Deployment Engineers to collaborate with a talented team for on-site deployments of our LocusEmpower robotics solutions at customer sites. This job requires a unique combination of warehouse logistics, mapping experience, project management skills, training ability, leadership, relationship management, and effective communication. You will travel extensively ( > 75%).
Responsibilities Create detailed technical project plans for the deployment of complex robotic order fulfillment solutions, including robotic hardware, software, and servers at customer locations.
Mapping customer sites with the Deployment team.
Manage onsite customer relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the on-site implementation of LocusEmpower.
Assist with on-site infrastructure, robot, and software set-up and support during initial system deployment of LocusEmpower, our proprietary e-commerce fulfillment solution.
Ensure the smooth operations of the robots on-site by working hand-in-hand with customers after deployment.
Qualifications Experience with ROS desirable (Robotic Operating System).
Warehouse software or logistics systems deployment experience.
Experience in warehouse/fulfillment center mapping a plus.
3+ years of project management experience in a technical context, such as IT or complex professional systems deployment.
Demonstrated success working both as a team member and leader.
Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
Knowledge of and interest in diverse technical topics, including software, hardware, and robotics.
75% travel is required with this role.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS or a related technical field.
