About the role
As a member of the newly built Digital & Emerging Technology team, the role of the Digital Excellence Lead is meant to be an "interface role": embedded in Operational Excellence, it liaisons with Innovation & Transformation, Swiss Re Group for global initiatives or Underwriting for proximity to our lines of business. In this role, you have the accountability to co-design and deliver digital and emerging technology solutions, with the goal to drive digitalization, innovative operating models, end-to-end efficiency, cost effectiveness or service quality and excellence for our lines of business. You have the freedom to identify, recommend (what works, what doesn't) and then build potentially progressive solutions, which strive to address business challenges and essentially to sustainably strengthen our market position. At Operations, we cultivate a mind-set of performance and business impact, hence driving digital solutions for concrete and visible outcomes is close to our heart. Whilst the role is empowered to shape the strategic agenda, it also ensures effective execution at the same time.
Together with your Digital & Emerging Technology colleagues and backed by existing technology solutions, you identify and evaluate opportunities to digitize our operational models and processes. You help to ensure consistency of information flow, systems, and processes across the globe and across different business lines. You'll also explore the market to look for and assess emerging technology solutions or operational model innovations, to essentially increase efficiency and improve customer experience.
About you
Business expertise in Insurance or related Financial Services - Proven understanding of the Insurance market (strong preference for Commercial Insurance), Products and value propositions of established and emerging players. Execution experience of emerging technology to be impactful for insurance business - Several years of working practice in the interactions between Business and Technological Partners or a strong affinity for new or emerging technologies.
