In Spain, we offer the possibility to join an exciting developing project in an international environment, focused on energy production in thermal and renewable installations, electricity and gas trading, and risk management solutions for customers and producers.
The successful candidate will join us as a Business Developer in an international environment, and his/her objective will be to identify and develop business opportunities aligned with the company's strategy, analyze their profitability, and participate in the negotiation to incorporate assets into the portfolio of owned projects.
Your Responsibilities: Identify and value new business opportunities (project portfolio or project) to be incorporated into the company in the field of renewable energies, especially assets with flexibility and storage.
Actively participate in Due Diligence processes for the acquisition of projects/companies and perform the analysis of generation assets (mainly valuation of assets under development).
Participate in the acquisition of projects/companies after due diligence process.
Negotiate co-development agreements with third parties.
Development of an adequate network for the identification of opportunities aligned with Alpiq's strategy.
Ensure and follow up on the fulfillment of developer and project commitments as set forth in the acquisition and development agreements.
Your Profile: Degree in Industrial Engineering / Civil Engineering, with a Master in Renewable Energies or similar being an asset.
At least 4 years of experience in the power generation sector in Spain, and ideally in energy management.
Experience in the acquisition of portfolios/projects (Due Diligence, economic valuation, and negotiation with third parties).
Financial modeling for the modeling of generation projects.
Good knowledge of electricity markets and flexible asset valuation.
Proficiency in the Office package.
Knowledge of Spanish electricity market regulation in terms of generation.
It would be nice to have knowledge of PVSyst and other renewable generation simulation tools.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, customer and results orientation, adaptability and problem-solving skills, and having a strategic vision, critical thinking, proactivity, and teamwork mentality.
Fluency in English (C1).
