We are seeking an experienced UAV Operations Lead to oversee and optimize the operational aspects of UAV testing and logistics.
This role is pivotal in organizing and prioritizing testing activities between Europe and Western Ukraine while managing team operations, equipment logistics, and personnel movements.
Acting as a key bridge between the R&D team and the testing team, you will ensure that testing objectives align with project timelines and operational constraints.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and a proven track record in managing technical operations and logistics.
Responsibilities:Team Coordination and Operational Oversight:
- Lead and organize the testing team's activities, ensuring alignment with project priorities.
- Assign and track tasks to guarantee the efficient execution of testing campaigns.
- Act as the central point of coordination between the R&D team and the testing team, ensuring clear communication and effective handoffs.Testing Management:
- Plan, prioritize, and execute UAV testing campaigns in Western Ukraine, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Monitor test progress, collect feedback, and propose improvements to processes and procedures.
- Ensure all tests are conducted in compliance with safety and operational standards.Logistics and Equipment Management:
- Oversee the logistics of UAV equipment, ensuring timely delivery, readiness, and maintenance for tests.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and transportation of materials and tools required for field operations.
- Coordinate the scheduling and travel arrangements for team members during testing missions.Interface with R&D and Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to understand testing needs, objectives, and priorities.
- Provide structured feedback and detailed reports from testing campaigns to support product development.
- Ensure that R&D requirements are translated into actionable testing plans.Operational Improvements:
- Develop and refine processes to optimize testing efficiency and resource utilization.
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or logistical challenges to ensure smooth operations. Requirements:Degree in engineering, operations management, or a related technical field.At least 5 years in operational or technical leadership roles, preferably in UAV, aerospace, or industrial environments.Strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage multidisciplinary teams.Experience in logistics management and coordinating field operations.Knowledge of UAV systems and testing protocols (a plus).Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and under dynamic conditions.Fluent in English (mandatory); other languages are a plus.Flexibility to travel for on-site testing campaigns.Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
