To meet the requirements of the business, the candidate will actively participate in the technical design and architecture of the application or its components, propose appropriate solutions, and promote the reusability of existing components while working in a collaborative environment.
The candidate should have deep knowledge of systems and applications under their control, manage changes, and collaborate in the technical analysis, implementation, and testing of approved projects.
The candidate will also participate in application maintenance tasks and work on applications based on mainframe technology (Cobol/Cics/DB2).
Your key responsibilities: Technical design, programming, and testing.
New projects, enhancements, and maintenance of specific applications.
Ensure IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance.
Align application changes with application strategy and technology roadmap.
Identify and manage risks and issues associated with the application.
Maximize operational availability and stability.
Ensure cost efficiency.
Your skills and experiences: English and Spanish advanced required.
Knowledge and experience in systems and end-to-end processes.
Experience in Cobol/Cics/DB2 analysis and programming is a must.
Experience in application solutions from a technological perspective, with the ability to understand key aspects of technical platforms and infrastructure, generate ideas, and create effective solutions.
Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, and software architecture.
Development background and demonstrated experience as an analyst.
Experience on analysis of existing systems from high-level architecture to application code review.
Experience with technical documentation, architectural diagrams, components, flows, and use cases.
Demonstrable DevOps-oriented mindset.
Experience with testing/QA tools.
Solid technical knowledge and ability to understand complex business processes and workflows.
Teamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teams.
Leadership and communication skills.
High commitment and results-focused.
Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of methodologies in application development (e.g., Agile).
