What They're Looking For: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Five years of hospital accounting experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented in analyzing data and spreadsheets. Hours and Compensation Potential: The position is full time. Range is $120K-$135K depending on experience. A full benefits package is included.
What You'll Be Doing: Under general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for financial reporting of the hospital in accordance with GAAP. Oversight of internal controls for general accounting, payroll and compliance reporting. Develop and implement financial systems, processes, controls and procedures for accounting functions. Provide financial information to operating management in a routine and timely manner. Monitor daily deposits and reconcile with G/L posting to assure accuracy of daily reporting and facilitate month-end processing and reconciliation. Direct activities of the accounting department as they pertain to the preparation of monthly financial statements and month-end close. Prepare and present variance explanations. Coordinate the budget process and assist in preparation. Monitor the expenditures of the facility to maintain compliance with the budget. Preparation of required government reporting and audit coordination. Direct and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial statements. Ensure integration of the department into the primary functions of the organization. Create a collaborative, productive work environment through positive relationships with senior leadership, other directors, physicians, employees, patients/families and the community. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ensure completion of all employee records including but not limited to: payroll, performance evaluations, competencies, personnel action requests etc. Additional Info: Position is located an hour from Houston. Position reports to the CFO. Facility is about 120 beds, accredited, not-for-profit acute care community hospital along with the Rural Health Clinic.
