The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) is one of the largest Genome Sequencing Centers in Europe. It is a public non-profit consortium formed by the General State Administration through the Spanish Ministry of Science, Research and Universities (MICIU) and the Catalan Government (CG). The CNAG carries out projects in genome sequencing and analysis in areas as diverse as cancer, rare disorders, immune-mediated diseases, microbial genomics, biodiversity, evolutionary studies and the improvement of species of agricultural/farm interest. Our organization contributes to strengthen the life sciences ecosystem at a national and international level, being part of the networks of global genomics initiatives whose aim is to break down the barriers of our current knowledge and build new solutions with an international scope. We participate in major International Genome Initiatives such as the Human Cell Atlas (HCA), the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), the International Human Epigenome Consortium (iHEC), the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC), the European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA) and the European Infrastructure for life-science information (ELIXIR). CNAG occupies approximately 1,500 m2 of laboratory and has a team of 120 highly talented professionals from 23 countries, including nine research groups and two large technology development/implementation units supported by flexible and efficient administration. In 2023, CNAG researchers participated in 60 competitive research projects, 20 of them funded by the European Commission through ERC, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Programs. The Role We have an opening for an EU Grants Project Manager to support a new transversal office for the integrated scientific and administrative management of EU Projects at CNAG, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities project GPE2024-001563-P. The office will be composed of specialists from the Grants and the Strategy Coordination Departments, with a diversified job content at the interface of science, technology and management, offering continuous growth and support on a professional level. She/he will report to the CNAG Strategy Coordinator and work closely with CNAG researchers to foster and facilitate the application and management of EU projects. Main Responsibilities: Research and analyze funding opportunities, aligning them with CNAG strategic areas and priorities. Support researchers in the preparation of grant proposals from a technical perspective, including support in topics such as ethics, open science and innovation. Organize internal meetings and external courses to train researchers in the best practices in proposal preparation, and other related topics. Draw up and maintain internal databases with CNAG indicators. Support the administrative management of CNAG coordinated projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
