Tasks to be performed will be:Oversee the strategy and planning for the data division within the company.Lead the delivery of strategic advanced ETL and analytics solutions across different industries.Provide analytics insights and solutions to solve business problems that are specific to client requirements.Support operations in fact-based decision making, RCA, and strategic initiatives through data analysis, text analysis, and statistical modeling.Stay informed of best technical practices from the fields of machine learning and software engineering to identify and help fill any tooling or skilling opportunities for the team.Day-to-day tasking and management of Data Science related functions. Regularly interface with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize opportunities for the team.Communicate the value of the Data Science projects applied to all projects and company-wide objectives.Build business processes for more efficient operation of the team.Devise data products and present them to potential clients.Engage in teaching and mentoring activities for team members across the organization.Minimum Requirements:3+ years of Data Science experience in the industry, with hands-on experience handling data-driven decisions (Academic experience counts up to 2 years).Experience with developing software and software engineering best practices.Experience managing a team of data scientists and software developers predominantly in a cloud environment.Familiarity with data science and/or AI technologies.Functional or technical leadership experience.Outstanding critical thinking skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability and drive to stay updated on new technologies in the rapidly evolving field of Data Science.Experience hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of data scientists.Write complex ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, to design and develop solutions for real-time and batch analytic processing on the cloud.Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, unstructured data analytics in corporate and/or academic research environments.Proven advanced Python skills.Proficient with bash scripting.Proficient with SQL and relational databases.Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operation Research, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.Ability to partner with product managers and business stakeholders to define objectives.Strong applied analytics and problem-solving skills.Experience working with large data sets, modeling, statistics, A/B & multivariate testing.Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed teams.Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within defined KPIs.Advanced English communication skills.Good to Have:Experience managing teams and projects.Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.Familiarity with AWS data & analytics services stack (S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, EC2, Sagemaker).Familiar with Google Cloud data & analytics services stack (BigQuery).Able to develop, test, and productionize predictive algorithms by using state-of-the-art machine learning solutions, and statistical models.MSc (or PhD) in a numerical field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Statistics.Previous experience with Docker and Docker ecosystem (Kubernetes).Soft Skills:Aptitude to learn, think creatively to solve real-world business problems, and work in a global collaborative team environment.Be able to work within an Agile environment, building and evolving models in a test and learn fashion.Enthusiasm for working hard and having fun in a dynamic startup environment.Benefits of Joining XpertAI:Fully paid sick leave.Training, certifications & development sponsored by the company.Side projects: get time at work to dedicate to your own projects.Flexible compensation including meals, transport, daycare, and optional health insurance.Flexible working hours.Fully remote + co-working office to meet your team whenever you want (free snacks, coffee, and beer, after-work events, etc).Free language classes (online or not).Have the chance to grow, develop and learn with training & certifications, sponsored by XpertAI.Be the owner of your time and enjoy the flexibility and remote working + coworking space to spend time with your colleagues whenever you want.
