Lightsource bp was fully acquired by bp in 2024.What You'll Do (the role)This role will play a key role in implementing the regional market strategy, identifying market opportunities and creative business models for onshore wind.
Collaborating with the regional and country development organization in support of commercial goals and objectives including pipeline development, partnerships and key stakeholder management.Identifying and developing with Country Heads market opportunities for onshore wind hybridized with solar in a first stage as well as standalone in the medium term.Identify market-level bottlenecks and collaborate with regional leadership to solve.Provide input into opportunity prioritization, short, medium and long-term value optimization.Facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learnt between various countries.Liaise with structured finance and power markets to project generate value optimization.Develop and implement with the wider teams a development strategy for onshore wind.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as technical wind, finance, engineering and construction across the broader organization to manage opportunities strategically.Ability to lead on the relevant inputs for a techno-economical hybrid and standalone model to identify the optimal business case.Who We're Looking ForKnowledge ExperienceComprehensive knowledge of wind, including techno-economic project structuring, is a must along with wind experience and a working knowledge of renewables projects.
Successful track record of executing complex energy projects and/or transactions.
Strong project and process management skills with experience managing multiple teams on simultaneous projects.
Good interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills.
Relevant experience of industry Business Development, with strong external and executive level engagement/stakeholder management.Why You'll Make a Great Member of the TeamDegree level education in relevant subject for example business, environmental or financial.
