.The role is part of the Simcenter Industries team, responsible for leading the Simcenter strategy in our focus industries. The Industries team consists of a lead for each industry and industry consultants. The industry leads oversee the overall Simcenter strategy, while the Industry Consultants focus on key areas, skills, or sub-industries, such as turbomachinery, vehicle electrification, and nuclear energy. This individual will support the STS strategy in Marine, providing industry insight to support go-to-market and solution strategy.This position includes the following key aspects:Define and support the execution of a coherent Simcenter strategy for Marine.Communicate and align this strategy across STS (Simcenter product and solution domain teams).Align this strategy with the broader Siemens Industry Software (SISW) organization (SISW Marine industry lead, Portfolio development, Marketing).Support go-to-market by developing and driving sales & marketing campaigns, including identifying target markets and companies, crafting compelling messages, building sales and marketing collateral, and enabling field teams.Guide solution strategy by articulating industry requirements as input to leadership and product teams (input to product roadmaps, partner and M&A activities).Collaborate with other members of the Simcenter Industries team.Work with strategic customers, positioning Siemens as a digitalization partner in higher management engagements.Responsibilities specific to the role include:Provide support to the Marine Industry lead in defining and executing Simcenter Marine strategy.Collaborate with SISW teams to leverage the value-add of simulation in various stages of the ship design, build, and operation process for Siemens Shipbuilding solutions.Work with marketing and sales leaders to define and communicate software solution business value to external audiences.Support field enablement on industry trends, Marine-specific trends, processes, and solutions.Support account sales teams, including partners, in selling industry solutions to key customers globally.Lead and manage industry and cross-industry projects to define solutions and create solution materials.Required knowledge/skills, education, and experience:Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.5+ years working in the Marine industry with detailed knowledge of performance engineering (simulation & test) activities.In-depth knowledge and personal experience of the ship design process and tools.Excellent interpersonal and communication (English language) skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at various levels of management and technical backgrounds.A self-starter able to work in a globally distributed organization and across cultures.Ability to work in an open, collaborative team, with a focus on excellence.Demonstrate business or project planning and execution experience (able to develop and drive long-term business or project plans)
