Open position: Project Development Consultant for the Future Mobility focus area
Bax & Company is a leading European innovation consultancy. We assemble and guide public and industry leaders through the early stage implementation of ideas that transform society.
We are currently looking for a project consultant to join our Future Mobility team. You will be working at our Barcelona headquarters, taking responsibility for the execution and management of consultancy assignments. You will be working in 2-4 small teams for several clients in parallel, so strong project management skills are a must-have.
The Role
In the Future Mobility team, you'll work on initiatives shaping the way people and goods move throughout Europe. Most of our collaborative R&D projects work on innovations that have yet to reach the wider market, so as a consultant you'll have a chance to steer the path towards European-wide adoption of technologies that will help citizens and goods move better.
Main Tasks
Conceptualisation and implementation of international R&D initiatives (projects, networks), often supported by EU innovation programmes (typically Horizon Europe and Interreg).
Assessment of economic, environmental and societal impact of innovative mobility pilots, analysis, and defining future scenarios.
Business modelling and definition of exploitation strategies to support the implementation of new solutions and services.
What We Are Looking For
Affinity for mobility and transport, urban logistics, technology, business and innovation, and a strong ambition for fast professional growth in a small and highly specialized consultancy firm.
Background and Profile: An MSc in Civil/Industrial engineering or dedicated postgraduate education in a relevant topic (transport economics, data analysis & mobility). We are looking for profiles showing a specific interest in the meeting point of transport and technology, ideally with additional education in business and innovation management.
Languages: Near-native proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential (almost all of our assignments are performed in English). Additionally, we value fluency in our client native languages including Spanish, Dutch, German and/or French.
Writing Skills: Good writing skills are essential; we need you to create convincing arguments, easily translating complex technical concepts into clear and compelling business language.
Soft Skills: We expect a great deal of autonomy and proactivity, being able to communicate professionally with partners and clients, managing and leading discussions and giving public presentations.
Relevant Experience and Additional Expertise: 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in the area of Future Mobility; demonstrating experience either in strategy consultancy or other innovation positions is a strong plus.
