HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION (INVESTMENT FIRM)At LHH Executive, we are currently working with an international Real Estate Investment Firm specialized in assets under management that is currently looking for a Head of Construction.Reporting to the Country Head and based in Barcelona (or Madrid), the responsibilities will include:Support the investment and business development team pursuing new opportunities.Act as the owner's representative managing all the activities associated with the development and execution of projects, including green field and refurbishments of existing assets.Ensure the management of design, permitting, tenders, contracts, ESG, QHSE, planning, cost control, and other key work activities as part of the development projects.Lead a Construction Management Team of at least 4 people, overseeing large and complex projects.Mentor and promote career development for the team in alignment with the company leadership principles.Interface with the conceptual construction group, assisting in drawing and specification preparation as well as reviewing pricing and construction contracts.Monitor contractors in relation to cost, schedule, and program and administer contractor progress payments.Prepare project updates in relation to project, construction, cost estimation, budget, and any possible changes.We are looking for a person with at least twelve years of experience, including management roles and having been responsible for large and complex projects.
Ideally, you should bring a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science or Engineering, having been exposed to multiple asset class projects (residential, office, retail, logistics, etc).
