About the role Location: Barcelona (Hybrid)
Become a member of the team creating technology solutions to support groundbreaking therapies treating patients. Novartis is currently searching for an IT Head Architecture & Integration for the US & International team to hold end-to-end accountability for business processes, integrate services horizontally across organizational units, and manage interfaces between projects to ensure smooth delivery.
DDIT US & International Head Architecture & Integration will drive technology standards definition in close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team by bringing teams together and driving the design of the best solution to meet the business needs and deliver business outcomes.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Set overall standards and direction for Architecture and Integration scope for commercial US & International domain ensuring the right DDIT investments are driven by business priorities. Manage complexities of multiple solution components / coordination across diverse stakeholder groups.Participate in the Technology Evaluation for the business / technical solutions ensuring a holistic approach is applied. Identify high level technology solutions to address business demand, ensure globally aligned business capabilities and drive adoption of global solutions.Define a retirement / exit strategy is existing for business / technology solutions. Ensure overall user experience is taken into account when designing and deploying new solutions and services. Define and communicate patterns, standards, and adoption guidelines for commercial US & International based on Enterprise standards.Contribute and ensure adherence to Enterprise standards, Architecture Governance (e.g. architecture methods, tools, practices and standards) for DDIT, supporting the Architecture Governance team / Community of Practice.Ensure adherence to ISC, Legal, ethics and other compliance policies and procedures in defining architecture standards, patterns, and solutions.Ensure solutions developed strictly adhere to the Enterprise Standards, platform strategies, Digital Code, data / technology principles and our API strategy for integration.Take functional responsibility for support and mentoring the solution architects and data modelers to expand depth and breadth of skills. Ensure Solution Architecture, design, models are reviewed for Program/Project/Platform Architecture in scope for respective domain.Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:

Role Requirements What you will bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, or information technology discipline. An advanced degree and related accreditations a plus.At least 15 years IT experience in a highly qualified function and global matrix organization.Experience with integrating of multiple platforms and technologies into a complex and scalable ecosystem. Deep technical expertise and understanding of the business processes and systems.Proven track record of broad industry experience and excellent understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships.Leading large and/or diverse multi-functional teams, Organization Scope, Scale and Complexity, Geographic Scope, Functional Breadth, Major Change, Collaborating across boundaries.Excellent understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships.Strong knowledge of key platforms and cloud services (Salesforce, AWS, etc.).Architecture frameworks - Digital & Tech Savvy, Stakeholder Engagement, Interpersonal Savvy, Healthcare Systems Thinking, Joint Value Creation, Being Resilient, Managing Change.Enterprise architecture, Integration Architecture, IT Management, IT Portfolio management, IT Governance, Strategic Consulting, influencing skills, Decision making skills, Talent development.Strong stakeholder and change management skills.Why Novartis:
