.Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) |29 jul | Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) | BellaterraYou will carry out your work at the Institute for Materials Science of Barcelona of CSIC (ICMAB-CSIC, www.Icmab.Es) located at the campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in the group for Nanostructured Molecular Materials for Biomedicine (https://nanomol-bio.Icmab.Es/), and in close collaboration with the Photonics Engineering Group at the University of Cantabria (PEG-UC) through research and formative stays. The NANOMOL-BIO group has renown expertise in the design, production and characterization of molecular and polymeric materials for biomedical applications. We continuously generate new knowledge in our basic and applied research projects on the micro and nanostructure of molecular materials, and apply this knowledge to develop materials with advanced therapeutic and diagnostic functionality, using sustainable and economically efficient production technologies. As part of the NANOMOL department (https://icmab.Es/mnom) of ICMAB, we belong to the Biomedical Research Network (CIBER) in the area of Bioengineering, Biomaterials, and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BNN).PEG-UC has experience in the field of Telecommunications Engineering developing software interfaces for access to remote data repositories providing computational services and solutions for data integration and management and for the development of automated data processing and diagnosis based on statistical and artificial intelligence (machine and deep learning) models. Our experience on diagnosis and interpretation of optical imaging technologies (Hyperspectral Imaging, OCT, Polarimetric, SFDI, etc.)will be transferred to the development of automated data processing that will contribute to discover unknown relationships between input nanotechnology formulation and their impact both on their physico-chemical and functional properties. PEG-UC is a member of the Biomedical Research Network (CIBER) in the area of Bioengineering, Biomaterials, and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BNN) and of the Valdecilla Health Research Institute (IDIVAL). Our facilities are located on the campus of the University of Cantabria (Santander, Spain).About ICMAB:ICMAB is one of the world's leading institutes in Materials Science research, located at Campus UAB, very close to Barcelona. ICMAB forms part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the largest public research institution in Spain (https://www.Csic.Es/es).One of the main ICMAB's strategic objectives and missions is to make an impact in the field of new materials for applications in energy, electronics and health. ICMAB provides facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and most importantly, excellent scientists and professionals, to assure you a rewarding environment
