We are currently seeking a Fluent German-speaking HR Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team.
This position offers flexible work arrangements, allowing you to choose between full-time or part-time hours, along with a hybrid work model that combines on-site work at our office in Osnabrück and remote work from home.
As an HR Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring that employee salaries are processed with accuracy and within deadlines, while staying in full compliance with both legal requirements and company guidelines.
You will play a crucial role in facilitating payroll operations for employees across Germany, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
This position is perfect for someone who has a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of payroll regulations, while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.
Main Responsibilities: Complete payroll management: Administer payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and precise salary payments, including calculations for wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductions, while complying with German labor laws and internal policies.
Personnel administration: Manage updates related to new hires, contract amendments, and terminations, ensuring all changes are correctly recorded in the payroll system.
Tax and social security expertise: Offer specialized guidance to employees and management on issues relating to tax and social security contributions, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations.
Government interactions: Professionally manage inquiries from government bodies and tax authorities, responding efficiently and in a timely manner.
Payroll reporting and analysis: Generate detailed reports and conduct payroll-related analysis to support HR and financial decision-making within the company.
Team collaboration: Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll is in line with broader company strategies related to employee benefits, insurance, and leave policies.
Your Qualifications: Fluent in German: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German are essential to manage payroll and comply with local regulations.
Deep knowledge of payroll law: Strong understanding of German labor law, tax codes, and social security regulations.
Experience with payroll software: Previous experience with systems like SAP HR is highly valued, though experience with other software is also acceptable.
Attention to detail: A thorough and organized approach to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processing.
Effective communicator: Ability to clearly explain payroll processes and requirements to both employees and internal teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Excel and other MS Office tools for reporting and data analysis.
Payroll or HR experience: Some background in payroll or HR-related roles is ideal, though candidates with strong academic experience in HR or finance will also be considered.
English skills: While not required, proficiency in English would be an advantage in our international environment.
Willingness to learn: Eager to stay up-to-date on changing payroll laws and regulations, and open to continuous professional development.
