ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: We're looking for a motivated Senior Accountant who will perform in-depth analysis, internal control and ensure integrity of the Company's financial information. In addition, this role will perform complex accounting tasks and review the work of other department staff members. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with month-end closing, including preparing and entering journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.Analyze and prepare variance analysis for internal monthly financial statements.Identify, research and resolve corporate accounting, auditing and operational issues.Assist with financial audit preparation and responses including annual external audit, bank audits, and other audits as required.Assist with the development, implementation of and monitoring adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.Document accounting policies and procedures.Identify opportunities for process improvement.Assist Accounting Manager and team with special projects to facilitate the effective functioning of the Finance Department.Manage staff accountants.REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Have at least 3 years of accounting experience including public accounting (Big4).Have a BA in Accounting and Finance.Thorough knowledge of GAAP.Possess analytical and technical skills to develop financial models using various software packages.Excellent organization and communication skills.Knowledge of ERP systems: Netsuite (preferred but not required), SAP, Navision.Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Must have exceptional attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Able to productively work in a fast-paced environment independently or within a team.Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required.Ability to understand a complex business model.Prior experience in a high transaction volume environment.Proficiency in English and Spanish.WE OFFER YOU:
