.Swissport Spain is actively seeking a Chief Financial Officer - CFO - for our HQ in Madrid.The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, and controlling country financial resources to maintain the short and long-term financial health and going concern of the Company.They will collaborate with the Managing Director and the executive team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.ResponsibilitiesDirect all financial functions to ensure they meet the organization's business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations and accounting principles.Contribute and participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the senior management level to develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the organisation's business objectives.Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the finance team to ensure the organization's financial strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to agreed guidelines.Direct the preparation of all financial reports needed including monthly reporting, year-end closing, weekly/monthly and annual rolling forecast, budgeting, and management financial reports.Evaluate acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure etc., to ensure they are financially viable.Participate and contribute to negotiations with suppliers, customers, and social partners to ensure financial viability.Develop and present financial results, deviation analyses and key performance indicators as needed.Provide information and reports to the Swissport International Finance Department.Engage with regional CFO on a regular basis and participate in regional and global initiatives.Provide line managers with advice and support on all financial matters.Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders (e.G., airport authorities, Banks, Board of Directors, local and international shareholders).QualificationsUniversity degree in Finance (or equivalent).Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Minimum 5 years in a senior finance position and 10 years overall finance experience.Strong IFRS knowledge and treasury skills.Solid knowledge of local Law, Taxation, Payroll legislation & VAT.Strong strategic skills and commercial acumen combined with the ability to motivate teams to deliver high quality standards.Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, internal and external work relationships with all stakeholders and interest groups.Strong oral and written communications and ability to communicate and motivate at all levels.Project management and ability to develop a business/investment case.A sense of urgency and a passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.Professional user of MS Office, ideally experienced with SAP or other ERP systems
