It houses Mare Nostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a founding member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe).
Currently, it is the hosting entity for Euro HPC JU, which leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe.
The mission of BSC is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress.
BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth, and engineering sciences) under one roof and currently has over 1000 staff from 60 countries.
Context And Mission: The High Performance Artificial Intelligence research group is growing, attracting both young talent and resources.
This growth requires a stronger structure to attract talent.
This position is intended for a starting role and will be compatible with the finishing of undergrad studies.
Key Duties: Provide support to the automation of research activities, contributing to the internal services.
Push the dissemination of work done within the group.
Contribute to the creation of prototypes and proof-of-concept studies.
Requirements: Education: Ongoing or recently finished degree in AI or CS.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Experience with LLMs (0-1 years).
Experience in Machine Learning (0-1 years).
Experience with Python (0-2 years).
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Experience in HPC environments (0-2 years).
Competences: Experience working in teams.
Good communication skills.
Fluent in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
Conditions: The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department.
We offer a full-time contract (37 hours per week).
