The position is permanent and full-time, connected to our office in Valencia office in Spain. Candidates should reside within a daily commuting distance from our office and be European citizens or hold a permanent residency visa.The ideal candidate should possess proven leadership skills and expertise in dive or life support systems, or a background as a marine supervisor or technician, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in system maintenance and certification. Experience in supply chain management and logistics is a plus.What you will be doingIn this role, you will be responsible for developing, standardising, and maintaining operational routines and process flows for workshop operations, supply chain management, and asset management for the appointed sites. The role includes supply and maintenance management activities to ensure the reliability and availability of service and workshop assets, consumables, vehicles and vessels.The Workshop and Asset Manager is the line manager for our workshop and dive technicians at the designated sites, as well as the local Marine Department, which is responsible for vessel operations and maintenance. HRM responsibilities are also included as part of this role.As Workshop and Asset manager your work will focus on these responsibilities:Workshop Asset & Fleet Management:* Develop, standardise, and manage the preventive maintenance management systems, workshop, and fleet/vessel operational routines.* Prepare and manage working budgets, monitoring expenses to ensure alignment with targets.* Optimise workshop operational costs and improve the reliability and availability of service assets.* Plan, lead, and manage the daily maintenance & asset management activities.* Ensure all workshop assets, vehicles and vessels meet applicable guidelines and take corrective actions when needed.Dive Asset Management:* Act as a technical leader in dive system maintenance and certification.* Provide technical support and training to operational dive teams regarding the diving systems.* Make analyses, conclusions, and recommendations to solve technical issues.Supply Management and Logistics:* Negotiate, create, and maintain supply contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal supply performance.* Perform supplier selection and support supplier audits.* Secure supplier capacity and manage supplier performance data.* Manage and lead delivery logistics from suppliers and storage locations.* Select transportation methods, negotiate with logistics service providers, and optimise transport costs.* Ensure the development of logistics processes in the defined area of responsibilityTo be successful in this role we expect you to have:* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* English proficiency at a C1 level.* Able to work with an international team from different backgrounds and time zones.* Proven experience leading and managing teams in technical and operational roles.* Knowledge of maintenance, certification and supply chain management processes and software tools.* Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions* Strong skills in supplier contract management and negotiation.* Deep knowledge of commercial diving industry systems or relevant life support systems, maintenance, and certification processesIn this role, some travel is required to conduct visits and the appointed sites.
