The Workplace team is dedicated to offering a world-class onsite hub experience to ensure a productive and engaging atmosphere. What you'll be doing:
As a Barista and Workplace hospitality specialist at Preply, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional workplace experience that aligns with our company vision. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding coffee experiences to our employees and guests while also contributing to the vibrant community atmosphere of our Barcelona Hub. Your role will encompass various tasks, including coffee brewing, event coordination, and fostering Preply's collaborative culture.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve employees, guests, and new starters with friendly and welcoming behavior.
- Expertly brew a variety of coffee specialties, including espresso-based drinks (with fresh & plant-based milk), batch brew, matcha & chai lattes.
- Manage coffee beans and supplies inventory, placing orders as needed to ensure sufficient stock, demonstrating attention to detail and dedication to progress.
- Maintain and refill our automatic coffee machines across work floors.
- Oversee the maintenance of coffee equipment, ensuring optimal functionality at all times, embodying our commitment to reliability and excellence.
- Coordinate and run our weekly After-Work drinks from 6 PM to 8 PM, beers, alcohol-free beverages, and occasional snacks or pizza, fostering engagement and collaboration among our teams.
- Collaborate with the workplace experience and community team to enhance the overall office environment, fostering a global sense of community and connection.
- Provide occasional support for community events in Barcelona, such as yearly corporate events or meet-ups to further extend our reach and impact.
- Maintenance of Coffee bar, equipment, cleaning of coffee mugs, equipment.
What you need to succeed:
- Fluency in English.
- Previous experience as a barista at professional coffee shops.
- Previous experience in Community management is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and specialty coffee preparation, reflecting a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and event coordination, reflecting a commitment to efficiency and effectiveness.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and support events, demonstrating a willingness to go above and beyond to contribute to our vibrant workplace culture.
