Main Purpose of the Role: Lead and participate in recruitment process definition and recruitment. Lead the training and development of the testing team as assigned by the LT Manager. Maximize resources utilization to allow LT to meet its P&L target. Plan resources to make sure workload and deadlines are covered. Manage the LT RFT & TFT staff for assigned languages ensuring the constant development of the Testing Team through regular feedback and permanent support. Ensure that the needed Hardware and Software is provided to the LT Project Teams. You will report to the LT Manager responsible for the languages assigned to you.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up resources on a project and departmental basis in coordination with the overall plan working in conjunction with the LT Manager and the Loc PMs.
Recruit, train and manage the LT testers.
Monitor all the administration work related to the LT testers.
Ensure quality and deadlines are met by the LT testers.
Participate in the in-house/outsourced decision process for testing needs.
Inform the LT Manager about the projects on testers progress and risks.
Track Overall Key Performance Indicators for LT and provide them to the LT Manager.
Track KPIs related to testers' performance and take actions as required.
Maintain strong communication flow with Loc Production and Asset Loc groups.
Answer to EACC Concerns during both regular working days and weekends (be on call for the LT Manager).
Work together with the LE team to ensure a 2-ways feedback with Asset Loc, aimed to continuously improve the quality of the services provided.
Coordinate proofreading and documentation testing, as well as any other testing request outside project testing phases (audio reviews, script reviews, QEs).
Respect and maintain EA security procedures.
Drive continuous innovation and improvement of the LT Team processes constantly collaborating with the rest of the Team Leads and participating in workgroups and taskforces.
Maintain strong teamwork within the Team Leads group and within each of their language groups.
Ensure all infrastructure for WFH is set up and constantly running.
Special Considerations:
Localization is a dynamic area where there are peak periods of activity and therefore the workload and the make-up of teams vary. It is necessary that the incumbent has past experience of working in a team environment of constant change.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Excellent English skills. Fluent communication both written and orally.
Experience in Localization testing processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of the video games industry.
Demonstrate knowledge of video game platforms (PC, consoles & software).
Demonstrate knowledge of video game testing tools (database management tools, bugs management tools).
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience Required:
Previous experience of coordinating a team of 10+ people.
Working in a multi-cultural team.
The Localization industry.
