Job Title: Wind Flow Modelling Engineer (m/f/d) We are looking for a Wind Flow Modelling Engineer (m/f/d) to support with wind analysis in the installation phase of wind turbines and wind parks and to provide support in the tendering phase. TASKS: Analyze and understand site specific wind and climate and how this will impact the wind turbine installation. Analyze constraints for every specific site, and support the tendering team during wind risks analysis to choose the best site considering the project constraints (hub height, rotor diameter, major component wind speed limit). Align with the wind engineering department to understand and define properly the right parameters to establish the best models to apply in the wind risk studies and in the wind data available. Support with the calculation of the wind impact during tendering phase to help in cost calculation. Support and improve current wind external tools during execution phase, compare outcomes with different wind assessment tools. Combine technical requirements and practical limitations to get the best wind risk performance. Model wind flow with relevant software and develop and improve the Nordex wind tool, compare wind data from different sites. Report achievements, risks and challenges on a regular basis. Occasionally traveling within the country and abroad is part of the job. LOCATION: This position can be located in Madrid or Tajonar (Navarra) in Spain or Hamburg in Germany. PROFILE: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Meteorology or equivalent technical background with experience in data analysis. Ideally at least 3 years experience in a similar position with a focus on wind & site assessment. Competence in wind flow modelling and in using relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP or other comparable software. Experience with CFD codes. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets. Solid know-how with Microsoft package, especially Excel. Fluent in English; additional skills in Spanish and/or German are a plus. Strong communications skills combined with proactivity and assertiveness. Ability to work in multicultural teams.
