Role and Responsibilities Network Administration: Manage and monitor computer networks, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and wireless networks. Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Troubleshoot network issues and optimize network performance. Security Management: Maintain security measures to protect the organization's data, networks, and systems. Set up antivirus software and security protocols. Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security policies. User Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues, network connectivity problems, and other IT-related inquiries. Respond to help desk tickets, resolve technical problems, and offer guidance and training to users on IT tools and systems. Data Management and Backup: Manage data storage, backup, and recovery systems. Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with data protection regulations. Implement and monitor backup strategies, perform data restores, and develop disaster recovery plans. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation related to IT systems, configurations, processes, and procedures. Develop user guides, technical manuals, and knowledge base articles. Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and IT-related metrics. Research and Evaluation: Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT. Evaluate new technologies, tools, and services to assess their potential benefits and make recommendations for adoption. Key Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, audio-visual engineering, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, MCSA) may be preferred. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, operating systems, hardware components, and virtualization technologies. Proficiency in networking protocols, security principles, and troubleshooting methodologies. Familiarity with scripting languages is a plus.
