Job Vacancy Features: Number of vacancies: one Job position: assistant researcher Funded line of research: "Big Data, Data Space, Artificial Intelligence and Health" Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions Remuneration: €1,347.86 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations) First project in which the successful applicant will collaborate: "European mobility for efficient planning and new business opportunities" At the end of the duration of this project or its budgetary availability, the successful applicant may join other projects within the same line of research.
Tasks to be carried out: Cleansing, transforming and structuring large volumes of data collected from various sources, such as traffic sensors, surveys, and public databases.
Designing efficient techniques for real-time handling of data and ensuring that the information is ready for use in predictive models and visualisations.
Job Profile: Preference will be given to those with: Experience with Pentaho for developing business intelligence applications and tools for data transformation and analysis.
Programming languages for AI and big data: Scala, Python and SQL.
Specialised tools for processing and visualising large volumes of data: Spark, Hive, HBase, Weka, Jupyter Notebook and Zeppelin Notebook.
Development and implementation of classical machine learning and AI algorithms.
Development of neural network- and deep learning-based algorithms.
Qualification: Official Master's degree in Data Science or equivalent.
Requirements for Applicants: Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree of at least 300 ECTS credits or an undergraduate degree plus an official Master's degree.
Be a Spanish national or in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
