Do you want to join our team?We are looking for a Technical Accountant for UK & Ireland based in Barcelona .As Technical Accountant, you will:Be responsible for the timely and accurate data preparation on a local GAAP basis for external reporting to Tax Authorities, Auditors, and the Statistical Office.
Additionally, you will work with the Team Leader on the timely monthly reporting for US GAAP in accordance with the Company's Month-end Closing schedule.Work on the preparation of the local GAAP Statutory Accounts for the Air Products legal entities in UK/IE in a timely manner, which includes the preparation of working papers and related schedules for the Statutory year-end audit process, aiming for a clean sign-off audit opinion by the Statutory year-end auditors.Be responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis in line with company policy.
If the preparation of the account reconciliations requires cooperation with peer groups and/or other functional areas, you will ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and filed correctly.Under the supervision of the Team Leader, set your own priorities and work plan within the overall framework of the Financial Accounting group and corporate deadlines.You will have:Working experience in the preparation of annual accounts, preferably in accordance with FRS102.In the process of completing the ACCA/CIMA certifications or willingness to undergo these examinations while working at the company.Working experience in an international team with other accountants.US GAAP/IFRS knowledge is an advantage.Ability to communicate effectively in a large multi-disciplined environment.Experience working with SAP is considered an advantage.A degree in Financial Accounting.English mandatory and any other European languages will be an asset.What we offer:At Air Products, we work in an environment where diversity is essential, inclusion is our culture, and each person knows they belong and matter.
