The Capacity team, part of SCOT Fulfillment Optimization, builds fulfillment capacity plans for Amazon's Global Supply Chain.
We build products, services, and engineering solutions for forecasting and economic optimization using advanced statistics and machine learning.
We also leverage operations research to improve our forecast accuracy while tackling shifts in customer demand patterns and global Supply Chain disruptions.
The team is on a strong growth trajectory and we are looking to hire a high-caliber Sr Product Manager to launch our suite of products in the EU and Emerging markets.
In this role, from Day 1, you will be given ownership of products, autonomy to think strategically and make data-driven decisions, and the ability to drive significant impact on Amazon's fulfillment capacity and build decisions at a global scale.
You will interface with a broad spectrum of teams including Supply Chain Team, leadership, Topline Forecasting, Inventory Prediction & Estimation (IPE), Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Finance, and country-specific Supply Chain and Execution teams.
This role will lead Build Forecasting products that support capacity and topology planning by forecasting fulfillment center (FC) throughput and storage cube required over the next two to five years (aka cube plan) and enabling FC capacity decisions.
Specifically, your plans and recommendations will answer how much capacity to build, what kind, when, and where to build it - at a country level.
You will also lead strategic decision-making on allocation of available capacity among business entities (Retail and FBA).
Besides developing and operating these products, you will also provide business support to interpret and analyze the outputs as well as successfully engage with the leadership in shaping key decisions.
