Key Activities
- Execute receiving, shipping, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Complete internal forms and documents or reports as instructed
- Verify correctness of received material against bill of lading invoices and checks for damaged parts, etc.
- Opens boxes, crates, and other containers.
Marks materials with identifying information.
- Stores material or items in proper locations.
- Checks, weighs and packs products as needed.
Finish process by wrapping or creating loads for shipment.
- Inputs data into the computer system
- Contribute to ensure warehouse areas are clean, accessible, and safe for traffic.
- Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies, with special focus on Manual handling policy and maximum lifting limits.
- Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirementsKey Accountabilities
- Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause minor loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.
- Supports Warehouse coordinator during stock count activities
- Follow company procedures and guidelinesSkills and Experience
- Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years experience in warehouse/workshop environment
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shipping documents or procedure manuals.
Requires ability to be certified to operate a lift truck.
Good computer skills (nice to have SAP)
