The Real Estate Structured Finance team is mainly responsible for all origination and structuring of real estate transactions to be considered for booking within SG and distribution to third parties.
This department offers a range of solutions to real estate investors to finance the acquisition or refinancing of office properties, retail assets, logistics assets, hotels and, in certain circumstances, multi-family assets, student accommodation and care homes, located in the main European countries, the United States, Japan and Australia.
We provide the clients with both traditional non-recourse mortgage loans and capital market finance, as well as debt advisory services.
This Analyst position is located in Madrid.
Mission: The key purpose of the analyst is to assist in the origination and execution of real estate structured finance transactions in Spain.
Tasks and responsibilities: The financial analysis and modeling of the considered projects, preparing and customizing financial models supporting financing mandates.Performing relevant risk analysis and understanding all issues relevant for real estate financings (context, constraints related to the assets and/or the legal and tax environment).Preparing credit applications, while ensuring that internal requirements and guidelines are met (risk metrics, profitability metrics, regulatory requirements).Negotiations of term sheets and loan documentation.Closing of transactions.Preparing information memoranda.Maintaining up-to-date market knowledge of the Real Estate sector, including current transactions and opportunities in the market (data search and market intelligence).Participating in the marketing and origination efforts of structured debt business opportunities.Ensuring the ongoing risk-monitoring of existing loans.Working in close cooperation with the real estate teams located in other jurisdictions and with other business lines and functions, such as portfolio monitoring, distribution and back office.Profile required: Studies & experience: Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or Finance.Master's degree in Finance is a plus.Language skills: Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 minimum).French would be a plus.Technical, operational & Soft skills: Genuine interest in Real Estate field and knowledge of the real estate market.Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point and Word.Analytical and financial modelling skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work under pressure, to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of rigor.Proactivity and strong reliability.Accountability.Willingness to learn and succeed with a positive attitude.Highly motivated individual and team player.Why join us: Société Générale Spain is a multi-category bank offering every employee the possibility to have several careers in a professional career path.
