Main Responsibilities: Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for power conversion equipment components.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
Requirements: Master's degree in electrical engineering (or similar), supply chain management or a related field.
Excellent English language skills; Spanish is a strong plus, other languages are a plus.
10+ years experience in purchasing in this area.
Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager in the high power conversion / high power electrical equipment manufacturing industries.
Interest in market dynamics along with a business sense.
A knack for negotiation and networking.
Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures.
Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
Available to travel 10%-30% of working time.
